Brutus Arrives

Hello! It is I, Baar. Brutus is a golden retriever that has come to stay with Baar, Joe, Emily and the kitties for a while. Baar was very excited to get a friend! But Baar will admit that him had in mind a corgie puppy... or maybe an akita, or a boxer, or a lab, a newfie (Miki), a basset hound, or one of Baar's friends from the dog park. Yes, they could come live with Baar!

But some missunderstanding must have taken place because the friend Baar got is a grumpy 11 year old Golden Retriever. Of course Baar likes Golden Retrievers but Brutus... well Brutus does not want to play with Baar.

No, Baar does not know why either. Emily said that Brutus has something called arthritis which makes Brutus' back legs hurt. Sometimes Brutus can not even get up off the floor - a picture of Brutus stuck on the floor is to the right. Brutus was stuck on the floor this weekend - Baar is putting a picture to the right. Emily said that the ouchies make Brutus grumpy but that the vet is giving him some medicine to make him feel better. Baar is very glad about that. One time Baar fell up the stairs while running ahd hurt hims foot. Nooooo Baar does not like ouchies.

Baar has noticed that sometimes Brutus gets annoyed with Baar for not reason. Like the other day Baar was playing with pink bunny on the other side of the room and Brutus growled at him. But do not worry, Baar is nice to Brutus and Baar is not concerned about Brutus being grumpy. Baar just walks away if Brutus is in a bad mood. Ok, ok, there was that one time that Baar did not walk away but Baar is not perfect.

Baar has a feeling that there will be lots of stories about him and Brutus so stay tuned!
