Dog of Destruction - Emily

Since Baar had being doing such an incredible job of being a good boy at night all alone downstairs, I made the bold move of allowing him to stay out of the crate today. Don't laugh - I really did think it would work.

Now I expected some pee since he's not feeling well. And pee he did on the kitchen floor. All in all that is an excellent place to pee if one is a dog and one has no outside option. The floor is linolium and easy to clean up. Frankly I was willing to over look any accidents on the first floor due to his current health problem.

A mini blind was askew and one string chewed - it was quite obvious that quite a bit of time was spent on the window seat looking in the backyard. Again, no problem. The curtains on the back door were also a bit mangled but nothing that was severe enough to be a deal breaker. It was his first time out of the crate on a work day after all.

But alas, Baar chewed and hit the baby gate blocking off the stairs upstairs until it gave way and he was able to trample over it. I can only imagine how much effort and force was applied - the metal is actually bent in once place.

Coming upstairs I found that once again, you do hurt the most the ones you love. Baar peed in my room on the carpet (not dilute) and then again on my bed. Yes, on the middle of my bed. And quite a pee it was friends. He also ruined, completely, another mini blind in my room, drank the cats water, and ate a little of their food (he didn't eat his breakfast or all of their food which is a bit worriesome). No damage is evident in Joe's room, the cats room, the hallway, or the bathroom.

Enid and Ezra are fine and Enid was actually quite relaxed upstairs when I got home. Ezra took shelter under Joe's bed but is back out now. I guess he will have to go back in the crate tommorow.

Stupid Dog is clearly not meant to live here. Really, one who is not Joe, what must he do to prove that to you? Sigh...

By the way where is Joe? If Joe left because of Stupid Dog and did not take me with him - no that would never happen. If Joe left willingly he would never leave me here.

I hope no one ever reads this part or no one will ever love SAFE again!

You better be good Baar!!!!!!!!!

Ok that cracked me up. I still love SAFE and will still volunteer for other stuff!

This case is becoming almost comedic. In all my years of fostering and managing other people fostering I've never come across a situation that is as eventful as this one.
