Memorial Day Weekend Fun

Hello! It is I, Baar!

Baar had such a big weekend!

On Saturday Emily and Baar went over to visit Mikki. While we were there, the gate to the backyard was left open and Emily and Baar played chase! It was so much fun. Baar ran fast and Emily tried to get him. Oh ha ha - it was the most fun. Emily tried to trick Baar by running the opposite direction but Baar just watched - Baar knew she would stop and turn around! Baar finally came to see Emily at the top of the street and we went home. Emily looked tired. Here is a picture of Baar relaxing after we got back to Mikki's house.

Baar also got to visit Corkey. Baar was tired and hot so Baar did not play with Corkey too much but Baar watched Corkey from the porch. Baar loves his friends.

Sunday Baar had to stay home alone because it was too hot to go on errands with Emily. Baar was sad. Joe went camping so Baar stayed home and took care of Emily and the cats. Baar is such a good watchdog! When there was a noise late at night Baar woke up right away and went to the kitchen to check things out. Baar barked and whatever it was went away. See how helpful Baar is?

On Monday, Baar got to go to the dog park early in the morning. Emily said that it was going to get hot so we got their at 7:15. Baar had so much fun playing with his new friend Ishmael the yellow lab.
Emily and Baar then went to find a self serve dog was place because she said Baar really needed a bath. No where was open. Baar wasn't too sad about that. Noooo Baar did not mind at all. PetSmart would not give Baar a bath because he only has his rabies tag not the certificate. Baar did not mind but Emily was annoyed.

Then Baar got to go play with Mikki! It was so much fun.

First Baar had to convince Mikki to play.

Then we wrestled.

And after that we wrestled even more!

After we were done Baar and Mikki enjoyed a drink from Mikki's pool. Mikki got in the pool later but Baar did not. Maybe next time Baar will go for a dip. Baar loved the nice cool water in the pool. It was sooo hot out! Baar got a little crabby on Monday night and decided that him did not want to come in from outside when Emily was ready.

One of Baar's friends asked how Baar his managing the heat. Baar does not like it but Baar is a trooper. Emily leaves a fan on for Baar. Baar does get a little grumpy when it's hot. For instance, when Baar is hot and tired he does not always feel like doing what Emily wants (like coming back inside from the backyard).
